As a dedicated public servant of the Coventry community and all of Rhode Island, I very much enjoy working to honor those who make a positive contribution to our town and state. Here I would like to pay tribute to those people who are truly making a difference:

What a privilege it was to be present at former WWII veteran and Coventry native Joseph A. MaGuires 103rd Birthday. I was given the honor of awarding him a citation of achievement from the State of Rhode Island.

 Great to see former Representative Bob Lancia and his wife Maryland at the 75th anniversary Remembrance of Iwo Jima. The event was located at the old Coventry Police Station.

Many thanks to Commandant Jane Deptula for inviting me to the Four Chaplains Memorial Service. A true story of bravery were four army chaplains gave up their lives to save others on there troop ship The Dorchester.
